Executive Inn

The Maine Inn

The Maine Inn (originally named the Executive Inn) was constructed in 1963 to help modernize the resort offerings. The Feldman’s added amenities like telephones and televisions in every room, private bathrooms and more in order to offset some of the older inns on the property. As a result, the Mansion House was generally taken offline for use except when there was overflow or in the case of building a boxing ring in the dining room when Sonny Liston trained at Poland Spring.

The inn was used by the Job Corps during their tenure (1966-1969) on the property. When Mel Robbins came to Poland Spring and decided to lease the property, he ran the Maine Inn and the Lodge buildings.

Today, the main dining facilities are within the Maine Inn and it is also the site of entertainment, weddings receptions and other special events.
