12th Annual Poland Heritage Day will be held on the grounds of the historic Poland Spring Resort and Preservation Park. This year marks a momentous occasion as we celebrate Maine’s Bicentennial, the 175th Anniversary of Poland Spring® Water and the 125th Anniversary of the Maine State Building.
Heritage Day activities will take place on September 20, 2021 (rain or shine) from 10am am to 4pm with all the typical family fun you’ve grown accustomed to including Strawberry Festival, Historic Tours Wagon Rides kid’s games, inflatables, craft vendors, live animals and historic tours, but this year we seek to kick it up a notch offering food trucks, mascots, stock car racing, a zip line, bingo, interactive game shows and most importantly a recognized musical artist secured by New York’s Z100 team.
The weekend will conclude on Sunday, September 21 during the 2nd Annual Dennis Sampson Community 5k. Please come and support the Dennis P. Sampson Community Run/Walk 5K Funds raised will be used for a scholarship to a graduating Poland Regional High School student entering the field of First Responder ( law enforcement, police, fire, rescue, and EMS). Dennis spent a lot of time in our schools and on occasion students were granted the opportunity to job shadow with him.
Our partnership with the Town of Poland and community organizations continues to be a tradition we are proud to honor, making this truly a community wide event.
