Hiram Weston Riccar Home

The home of Hiram Weston Ricker was the only private home exclusively built on the grounds for one of the operators of the Poland Spring Resort. Designed by George Coombs, the house would certainly qualify as an individually listed property for the National Register. The woodwork is representative of Maine craftsmanship and is similar in design to some of the woodwork within the Maine State Building especially the paneling of the front door also designed by Coombs. Ricker family members remained in the house until 1947.

This building is a private residence and cannot be visited. Please respect the privacy of its inhabitants.
